India: New Jersey woman killed by crocodile

The remains have been recovered of a 25-year-old Morristown, N.J., woman killed by a crocodile while snorkeling in the Bay of Bengal, India, officials said.

Lauren Failla was attacked April 29 off Havelock Island in the Andaman Islands by a saltwater crocodile, among the world’s largest crocodiles.

Failla’s aunt, Bernice Cook, said Failla would not have been swimming in the area if she had been warned crocodiles were a threat.
