That might not be the best spot for a rest, little butterfly… on the nose of a sharp-toothed cayman

This brave butterfly took its life into its own hands when it landed on the snout of a hungry cayman.

The ferocious reptile, which is very similar to an alligator, was lying on a river bank basking in the morning sun when the orange-coloured insect came to rest.

Unruffled, the cayman let the butterfly make its way from the end of its snout up to its eyes before fluttering off.
