Nigeria | Snake bites hits 189 in one month

The Federal Government Snake Bite Treatment Center, Kaltungo Gombe State, Nigeria has reported that in a month 189 individuals have been treated for snakebite and 10% of the victims died because of inadequate treatment.

In Nigeria, people do die from snake bites, as they believe more in the traditional method of curing the snakebite, thereby most of the victims are taken to native healers or native doctors for treatment instead of the hospitals.
