Frog's lucky escape from snake

It was a rare sight that captivated Roy and Dawn Edwards at their one-acre Urraween home – a bright green snake with its jaws around a bright green frog.

The couple had been keeping an eye on the tree frog all day, which was happily sitting on a pot in their courtyard.

“A few times during the day we would walk past and look and admire it sitting on the pot,” said Dawn.

It was not until the afternoon and another look later however that Roy’s attention was brought to a lime-coloured hose. It did not take long for him to realise it was a snake about two metres long.
